TNBC: THE PUMPKIN KING VIDEO GAME
Jack's first appearance in a video game was in The Nightmare Before Christmas: The Pumpkin King for the Gameboy Advance. This game was released in the fall of 2005, and was a big hit among young children. The events take place before the movie, where Jack encounters Oogie Boogie for the first time. This game shows how he was able to claim the title of The Pumpkin King. The game starts with Jack preparing for Halloween, like he always is, approximately one year before the events that take place in the movie. Oogie Boogie is angered that no one remembers his holiday, "New Bug Day," and sends out his henchmen Lock, Shock, and Barrel to kidnap Jack. However, they bring Sally to him by accident. Oogie fills the town with bugs, and it is up to Jack to save Sally and the town.

Sometimes jumping on the computer is annoying, but overall an easy experience. The hardest battle of the game is when you have to defeat Oogie Boogie. So, you may be wondering, Megan, do you have any helpful hints?! Of course I do:
→ Minigame 2: Jump! - Meet Lock, Shock and Barrel three times in the graveyard
→ Minigame 3: SkullDuggery - Capture Lock,Shock and Barrel in Oogie's Lair.
The first step is to wait for him to stop his attacks, and then get close to his mouth and attack him with your weapon of choice. He will destroy parts of the floor at 75%, 50% and 25% health. When the floor is destroyed, the destroyed parts become spikes, so beware! Don't attack him from behind, as Barrel will shield and counterattack for him.
