POPULARITY

To be honest, I never thought that Snorlax was THAT popular, until later on. I noticed that Snorlax was often on promotional images for Pokemon, and that he was in many of the Pokemon anime episodes, perhaps even more than the other Pokemon (minus the true main characters like Pikachu and Ash's Pokemon Party). However, when I started to really find myself adoring Snorlax, and attempted to buy merchandise online, the first merchandise to sell out was ALWAYS Munchlax and Snorlax items. It was so hard for me because I had this thought in my mind that building my collection would be super easy, who still wants to collect Snorlax and Munchlax, I thought? I was surprised to find out that a lot of people do! That's when I decided to add this interactive section to see what other people thought about Snorlax's popularity, who caught one, and who used one in their own party. A big thanks to my twitter friends for participating in some polls I put on Twitter for me to come up with my own data for this page! ➾ My answer: Yes, I have caught a wild Snorlax from the original games, but never used them in my party from those games.

Pikachu and the starters have basically taken over the school. Most merchandise is also for Pikachu or Starters. More recently Mimikyu has had his place in playground discussion, too. Please keep in mind, my experience is with grades k-3, and not necessarily the age group you may be looking for."
➾ My answer: I voted for the Three Starters, Pikachu, and Snorlax. This is because they are the most depicted on posters and announcements for Pokemon.
